From caring for animals to caring for clients, my career has always been about helping people navigate big decisions.
I’m an Atlanta native, veterinarian-turned-Realtor, and proud to call C21 Connect Realty home. After graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, I spent 11 years practicing veterinary medicine in shelter, emergency, and general practice settings. In 2017, I made the leap into real estate after a chronic neck injury changed my veterinary career's trajectory, allowing me to build a career helping people find the right place to call home.
Since becoming a full-time Realtor, I’ve had the opportunity to help buyers and sellers across Atlanta, Metro Atlanta, and the North Georgia Mountains find the right home, investment, or next adventure. I work with everything from resale and luxury homes to new construction and vacation rental investments. When time permits, I still spend a few days a month working in the veterinary field.
My veterinary background may seem like an unlikely path to real estate, but the skills translate surprisingly well: attention to detail, problem-solving, staying calm when things get complicated, and genuinely caring about the people I’m working with.
I’m a Certified Luxury Marketing Specialist, Certified Buyers Representative, and knowledgeable in the short-term rental market as I've owned and operated four short-term rentals in the North Georgia Mountains over the past 7 years. Shannon was wonderful to work with. She really listened to our needs in a home and went above and beyond to get us into our home. The house we had been watching came back onto the market as we were flying to California for a week. Knowing the high chance of it going under contract before we returned, Shannon offered to do a virtual tour with us the next day so we could see the home from across the country. She spent over an hour detailing everything about the home while she was there, including the space, odors, feel of the home, and every detailed knick, scratch, and floor sloping. We were able to put an offer in quickly thereafter. Once we heard another offer came in, she helped us make strategic moves to improve our offer and advocated for us to the seller's agent in so many ways.
